dc.description.abstract	การศึกษาค้นคว้าครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนรัฐบาลในสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่ การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 18 และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนรัฐบาลในสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 18 จำแนกตามขนาดของโรงเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษา ปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนรัฐบาลในสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 18ศึกษาอยู่ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2557 จำนวน 372 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ แบบปรนัยชนิด 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 40 ข้อ ประกอบด้วย 5 ทักษะ ได้แก่ ทักษะการจับใจความสาคัญ ทักษะการจับใจความรอง ทักษะการหาคำอ้างอิงทักษะการหาความหมายคำศัพท์ และทักษะการสรุปความ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. คะแนนความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนที่ได้จาก การทำแบบทดสอบ มีคะแนนรวมคิดเป็นร้อยละ 43.31 อยู่ในระดับต่ำกว่าเกณฑ์การวัดผลของ กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ 2. คะแนนความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียน ในโรงเรียนที่มีขนาดต่างกัน แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสาคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 แสดงว่าขนาดของ โรงเรียนมีผลต่อความสามารถของนักเรียน 3. ทักษะที่นักเรียนได้คะแนนสูงสุด คือ ทักษะการหาคำอ้างอิง รองลงมาได้แก่ ทักษะการจับใจความรอง ทักษะการหาความหมายคำศัพท์ และทักษะการจับใจความสำคัญ ตามลำดับ ทักษะที่นักเรียนได้คะแนนต่ำที่สุด คือ ทักษะการสรุปความ

dc.description.abstractalternative	The purposes of this study were to investigate the ability in English reading comprehension among grade 12 students of government schools in the secondary educational service area office 18 and to compare the ability in English reading comprehension among grade 12 students of government schools in the secondary educational service area office 18 in different school sizes. The subjects participation in this study consisted of 372 grade 12 students studying in the second semester of 2014. The instrument used in this study was a 40 items English reading comprehension test which is comprising five language skills including; main idea, understanding supporting details, reference, inference and vocabulary. The results were as follows : 1. The ability in English reading comprehension of the subjects, obtained from the test, was found below the criteria set by the Department of the Ministry of Education with percentage scores of 43.31. 2. There were statistically significant differences in the subjects' reading scores at a significant level of .05. Therefore, the size of school affected the students' reading comprehension ability. 3. It was shown that identifying referent was the reading skill that the students get the highest scores following by the skill of understanding supporting details, vocabulary, and main idea respectively. The skill that the students got the lowest scores was inference.
