| dc.description.abstract | เทวันคำกาพย์เป็นนิทานพื้นบ้านไทยประเภทลายลักษณ์ที่ถูกสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมาในยุคที่สังคมไทยนิยมการสวดอ่าน และฟังนิทานหรือกลอนสวดในที่ประชุมชนหรือในครัวเรือนราวสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ตอนต้น-สมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ปัจจุบันต้นฉบับเทวันคำกาพย์ได้รับการเก็บรักษาไว้ที่ฝ่ายเอกสารโบราณ หอสมุดแห่งชาติ กรุงเทพมหานคร กวีสร้างสรรค์เทวันคำกาพย์มาจากเทวันธชาดก ซึ่งเป็นนิทานในปัญญาสชาดก โดยได้เปลี่ยนรายละเอียดของตัวละครและเหตุการณ์ในเรื่อง ได้แก่ เปลี่ยนรายละเอียด ชื่อ ลักษณะ พฤติกรรมของตัวละคร เปลี่ยนรายละเอียดเหตุการณ์ในเรื่องด้วยการนำอนุภาคและเหตุการณ์จากวรรณกรรมหรือนิทานเรื่องอื่นที่รู้จักกันดีที่มีมาก่อนมาดัดแปลงผสมผสาน ทำให้เทวันคำกาพย์มีความแตกต่างไปจากตัวบทนิทานต้นเรื่อง ซึ่งก่อให้เกิดความตลกขบขัน นอกจากนี้กวียังเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดของหลักธรรมคำสอนที่ปรากฏในเนื้อเรื่องให้ง่ายต่อความเข้าใจและการจดจำของผู้อ่านผู้ฟังซึ่งส่วนใหญ่น่าจะเป็นชาวบ้านชาววัด เทวันคำกาพย์เป็นนิทานพื้นบ้านไทยอีกเรื่องหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจ มีคุณค่า สะท้อนให้เห็นภูมิปัญญา ความรอบรู้และความสามารถของกวีในการปรับเปลี่ยนนิทานศาสนาให้มาเป็นนิทานพื้นบ้าน จึงควรอนุรักษ์และเผยแพร่ให้เป็นที่รู้จักกว้างขวางต่อไป | th_TH |

| dc.description.abstractalternative | Thewan Kham Kap is a recorded type of Thai Folktale which was created when Thai society was fond of storytelling or Klon Suat (Thai religious verse) at social gathering or in the household from around Early Rattanakosin Period to the reign of King Rama V. Nowadays, the original version of Thewan Kham Kap is securely kept at the Archival Department, National Library of Thailand, Bangkok. Thewan Kham Kap is originated from Thewan Jataka which is one of the tales in Pannasa Jataka. A poet changed some details of the characters and incidents in the story such as the characters’ names, characteristics, and behaviors. The poet also adapted and added motif and incidents from other well-known literatures or famous tales. Therefore, Thewan Kham Kap was differentiated from the original story; and that made it appear to be humorous and fun to read. Moreover, the poet simplified moral principles appeared in the story to be more comprehensible and easier to memorize for the readers who were mostly the villagers. Thewan Kham Kap is one of the interesting and valuable Thai folktales. It reflects the poet’s wisdom, omniscience, and talent for adapting religious tales into a good folktale. Hence, it should be conserved as well as widely publicized. | en |
