dc.description.abstract	การขัดจังหวะเปรียบเสมือนกลยุทธ์ในการสนทนาสามารถใช้เพื่อบรรลุการครอบงำ หรือแสดงความร่วมมือในการพูดคุยวัตถุประสงคข์องงานวิจัยนี้เพื่อวิเคราะห์การขัดจังหวะในการสนทนาระหว่างเพศหญิงและเพศชายที่มีสถานภาพทางสังคมที่แตกต่าง โดยวิเคราะห์จากรายการสนทนากับแขกรับเชิญ Be My Guest จำนวน 5 ตอน ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากกรมประชาสัมพันธ์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาประเภทของการขัดจังหวะที่เกิดขึ้นในการสนทนา เช่น การขัดจังหวะเชิงบุกรุก หรือการขัดจังหวะเชิงร่วมมือในบริบทที่เพศชายมีสถานภาพทางสังคมที่แตกต่างกันกับผู้ดำเนินรายการเพศหญิง เสียงพูด จำนวน 217 เสียง ถูกนำมาวิเคราะห์ภายใต้แนวคิดของ Zimmerman and West’s (1975) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ในบริบทผู้หญิงที่มีสถานภาพทางสังคมสูงกว่า และเท่ากันกับผู้ชาย ผู้ชายมีจำนวนการขัดจังหวะมากกว่าผู้หญิงอย่างไรก็ตามในบริบทที่ผู้หญิงมีสถานภาพทางสังคมต่ำกว่าผู้ชาย กลับพบว่า ผู้หญิงขัดจังหวะมากกว่าผู้ชายซึ่งในกรณีหลังนี้ไม่สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดการครอบงำที่ชี้ให้เห็นว่าผู้ชายครอบงำผู้หญิงในการสนทนา ดังนั้นวัฒนธรรมจึงเป็นปัจจัยที่สำคัญในการศึกษาพฤติกรรมของการขัดจังหวะในการสนทนา

dc.description.abstractalternative	Interruptions as conversational strategies can be used to achieve either dominance or cooperation in a talk. The purpose of this study was to analyze conversational interruptions between Thai genders with different social statuses. Five episodes of the talk show Be My Guest sponsored by the Thai Government’s Department of Public Relations were selected to analyze which type of interruption, intrusive or cooperative, males with different social statuses made in interacting with the woman show host. A total of 217 utterances were analyzed for interruptions under Zimmerman and West’s (1975) guidelines. The results revealed that in the context of the woman having a higher or equal status as a man, the male interrupted the conversation more often than his conversation partner. However, in the case the host having a lower social status than the male guest, it was found that the woman interrupted more often than the man. The result in the last case does not support the dominance approach, which points out that men dominate women in conversation. Culture is considered an important factor accounting for the genders’ behavior of interruptions in the conversation.
