ผลของอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อต่อการเจริญของ Chaetoceros calcitrans

Abstract

การศึกษาผลของอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อชนิดต่างๆ ได้แก่อาหาร F/2 medium Ketchum and Redfield medium Miquel medium Sato and Serikawa medium TMRL medium และ Walne’s medium ที่มีผลต่อการเจริญของ Chaetoceros calcitrans ที่เพาะเลี้ยงในห้องปฏิบัติการ พบว่าอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อ Miquelmedium ทำให้ C. calcitrans มีอัตราการเจริญจำเพาะและปริมาณของ เซลล์สูงกว่าอาหารชนิดอื่นๆ คือ 0.96 วัน-1 และ 4.59 ± 0.38 × 106 เซลล์ต่อมิลลิลิตร ตามลำดับ และใช้ระยะเวลาในการแบ่งเซลล์เป็น สองเท่าสั้นที่สุดเท่ากับ 0.72 วัน ดังนั้นอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อ Miquel medium จึงเป็นอาหารที่เหมาะสมที่สุดสำหรับการเพาะเลี้ยง C. calcitrans ในระดับห้องปฏิบัติการ The effect of various culture media, F/2 medium, Ketchum and Redfield medium, Miquel medium, Sato and Serikawa medium, TMRL medium and Walne’s medium on the growth of Chaetoceros calcitrans in the laboratory was investigated. Results showed that specific growth rate and cell density of C. calcitrans in Miquel medium were higher than other medium (0.96 day-1 and 4.59 ± 0.38 × 106 cell/ml). The minimum generation time of 0.72 day was found using Miquel medium as culture media. It can be concluded that the best of culture medium for C. calcitrans in the laboratory scale was Miquel medium.
