โครงการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการทำงานแบบเวลาจริงภายใต้ระบบปฏิบัติการลินุกซ์ในคอมพิวเตอร์ส่วนบุคคล เกิดขึ้นเนื่องจาก เสถียรภาพในการทำงาน และลินุกซ์ เป็นระบบปฏิบัติการที่สามารถนำมาใช้ได้โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ ปัจจุบันลินุกซ์เป็นที่รู้จักในการนำไปใช้ในงานด้านเซิร์ฟเวอร์ต่างๆ หรือใช้ในงานด้านเอกสาร แต่ไม่ใช่เฉพาะสองอย่างนี้เท่านั้นที่ลินุกซ์สามารถทำได้ดี งานที่เกี่ยวกับการเชื่อมต่อและควบคุมฮาร์ดแวร์ภายนอก ลินุกซ์สามารถนำมาพัฒนาใช้ได้ดี การทำงานแบบเวลาจริงมีส่วนสำคัญในการทำงานของระบบที่ต้องการความถูกต้องอย่างมากแต่มีต้นทุนสูง คอมพิวเตอร์ส่วนบุคคลจึงเป็นอีกทางเลือกหนึ่งที่เราสนใจนำมาทดสอบการทำงานแบบเวลาจริง สุดท้ายผลลัพธ์ของการศึกษาการทำงานแบบเวลาจริงบนระบบปฏิบัติการลีนุกซ์ สามารถแสดงความแตกต่างระหว่างดีไวซ์แบบใส่โมดูลการทำงานเวลาจริงกับดีไวซ์ที่ไม่ได้ใส่โมดูลการทำงานแบบเวลาจริง โดยดีไวซ์ที่ใส่การทำงานแบบเวลาจริงสามารถตอบสนองต่อได้ตามเวลาที่ต้องการ |
