ฟองน้ำทะเล: การค้นหาสารประกอบเคมีกับฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพ

Abstract

สารสกัดหยาบจากฟองน้ำทะเลบริเวณอ่าวไทยฝั่งตะวันออก บริเวณจังหวัดชลบุรี และระยอง จำนวน 24 ตัวอย่างถูกทำการทดสอบฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพเบื้อต้นพบว่า (ก) สารสกัดหยาบจากฟองน้ำ 4 ตัวอย่าง ฟองน้ำแสดงฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อจุลินทรีย์ที่ระดับไม่รุนแรงจนถึงปานกลางกับเชื้อแบคทีเรีย Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus และเชื้อรา Mortiertella ramanniann (ข) สารสกัดหยาบจาก 6 ตัวอย่าง ฟองน้ำแสดงฤทธิ์ต้านสารมะเร็ง โดยยับยั้งเซลมะเร็งปอด (NCI-H187) และเต้านม (BC) (ค) สารสกัดหยาบจาก 8 ตัวอย่าง ฟองน้ำแสดงฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อไวรัสเริมชนิดที่ปากและ (ง) สารสกัดหยาบจากฟองน้ำเกือบทุกตัวอย่างแสดงฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อวัณโรค โดยยับยั้งเชื้อ Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra Twenty-four crude extracts from Thai marine sponges, collected from the Gulf of Thailand at Chonburi and Rayong province, were screened the biological activities. The results showed that (a) the crude extract from four marine sponges exhibited mild to moderate activity against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Mortierella ramanniana (b) the crude extract from six marine sponges showed the anticancer activity against NCI-H187 small cell lung cells and BC breast cancer cells (c) the crude extract from eight marine sponges exhibited the anti HSV-1 activity and (d) the most of crude extracts from marine sponges exhibited in vitro anti-TB activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra.
