| dc.description.abstract | การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ คือ 1. เพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของภาวะการทำให้ทันสมัยที่มีต่อวัฒนธรรมทางเพศของผู้ชายไทยในสังคมเมืองจังหวัดชลบุรี 2. เพื่อศึกษาการปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมทางเพศของผู้ชายไทยในสังคมเมืองจังหวัดชลบุรี และ 3. เพื่อรวบรวมองค์ความรู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเพศ ทั้งนี้โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเป็นข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ ข้อมูลจากเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก ผลการศึกษาพบว่า วัฒนธรรมทางเพศของผู้ชายไทยในสังคมเมือง จังหวัดชลบุรี มีลักษณะเป็นพลวัต ที่มีความแตกต่างหลากหลายและเลื่อนไหลกรอบความคิด และแนวปฏิบัติเรื่องเพศยังมีความเหลื่อมซ้อนระหว่างเพศชายและเพศหญิง แม้กระแสแนวคิดเรื่องชายเป็นใหญ่จะลดพลังอำนาจลง ความทันสมัยและความเจริญก้าวหน้าทางเศรษฐกิจและเทคโนโลยีของชุมชน เมืองชลบุรี มีส่วนสร้างกระแสเพศวิถีสมัยใหม่ที่แตกต่างจากขนบธรรมเนียมและจารีตเดิม จินตนาการทางเพศค่อนข้างมีอิสระมากกว่าในอดีต หนุ่มสาว ในปัจจุบันกล้าที่จะแสดงความรักความพึงพอใจ และพฤติกรรรมทางเพศที่ชื่นชอบได้อย่างเปิดเผยมากขึ้น ทักษะความรู้เรื่องสุขภาวะทางเพศและเพศพิสวาสสามารถเข้าถึงและเรียนรู้ได้อย่างหลากหลาย ง่ายดาย และรวดเร็วโดยผ่านสื่อต่าง ๆ อย่างไรก็ตาม เรื่องเพศในบริบทสังคมเมืองนี้ ยังคงถูกจับตามอง ไม่สามารถหลีกพ้นไปจากอำนาจของกระแสสังคมแนวจารีตที่ให้ คุณค่าเรื่องเพศในมิติความชอบธรรม ดีงาม และถูกต้องได้ ทั้งนี้พลวัตวัฒนธรรมทางเพศที่เกิดขึ้นนั้น ปรับเปลี่ยนโดยผสมกลมกลืนกับวัฒนธรรมตะวันตกภายใต้กระแสโลกาภิวัฒน์ โดยมีแรงผลักดัน 3 ประการ สำคัญคือ 1. อิทธิพลของทุนนิยมต่างประเทศและการทำให้ทันสมัยในสังคมไทย 2. อิทธิพลของทหารอเมริกันในสังคมไทยสมัยสงครามเวียดนาม และ 3. อิทธิพลจากการปรับตัวของชนชั้นนำในสังคมไทยหลังการทำให้ทันสมัย | th_TH |

| dc.description.abstractalternative | There were three purposes in the study; (1) to investigate the influence of modernization affecting the evolution of Thai men sexual culture in the Thai urban society in Chonburi; (2) to investigate shifts of sexual behavior in urban Thai men in Chonburi; and (3) to compile knowledge about sex. The study was conducted under an interdisciplinary basic to analyze, integrated and interpret practical current settings, literature reviews and in-depth interviews. The study found that Thai men’s sexual cultures in the urban city of Chonburi are different and dynamic. Concepts and practices about sex are still unequal between male and female against The declining of power and patriarchy. The modernization and the growth in economy and technology in urban community of Chon Buri affect modern sexualities unlike some old traditions and customs. New youngsters’ sexualities are so independent and so different from ones in the past in sense that they can explicitly expresstheir affections, pleasures and favorite sexual behaviors. And skills in sexual health and eroticisms are easier and more widely accepted via many different media. However, sex is still being watched and detained by social beliefs that considered sex as legality, legitimacy and virtue. Changes of the existing sexual dynamics haring been assimilated with Western cultures in the globalization were influenced by capitalization from abroad and modernization in Thailand, the impacts of American veterans in Vietanm War, and the elites adaptation in Thai society after the modernization. | en |
