การศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการรู้คำศัพท์และความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ วิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษาอุตรดิตถ์

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์กับการอ่านตามเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 60 ของมาตรฐานหลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ และความแตกต่างระหว่างความสามารถในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์และการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์และความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาวิชาพาณิชยการ สาขางานการบัญชี จำนวน 80 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ตรวจสอบวัดความสามารถในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์และแบบทดสอบความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ สถิติเชิงพรรณนาที่ใช้ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าความเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าสถิติ T-test และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ สหสัมพันธ์ (r) ผลการศึกษา พบว่า นักเรียนมีความสามารถในการรู้คำศัพท์และการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 60 ตามมาตรฐานหลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ พุทธศักราช 2545 (ปรับปรุง 2546) ของสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอาชีวศึกษาอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนความสามารถของนักเรียนในการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์และความสามารถในการอ่านมีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และมีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการรู้คำศัพท์และความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนมีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่รับ .05 The purpose of this study was to examine the language competence against the 60 % criterion of the Vocational Education Standards; investigated the difference and the relationship between vocabulary and reading competence of vocational students at Uttaradit Vocational College. The population of the study covered 80 first year vocational students majoring in Commerce and Accounting. The instruments for collecting data were English vocabulary achievement test and reading achievement test . The statistics used in data analysis including percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test , and Pearson’s coefficient (r). The study revealed the students scored higher than the 60% criterion of the Vocational Education Standards B.E. 2545 (with amendments B.E. 2546) stipulated by the Office of Vocation Commission at a statistically significant level of 0.05 Moreover, the students’ test scores of the vocabulary achievement test and reading achievement test were significantly different at a 0.05 statistical level. In addition, the relationship between vocabulary and reading competence was related with statistical level 0.05
