สาเหตุสำคัญประการหนึ่งที่ทำให้การวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมการเดินทางด้วย Descriptive Statistic หรือ Multivariate Analysis ไม่เพียงพอสำหรับการอธิบายพฤติกรรมการเดินทางนั้น อาจเป็นเพราะพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์เป็นสิ่งที่ความผันแปรสุง และขึ้นอยู่กับปัจจัยแวดล้อมต่างๆ เป็นจำนวนมาก ด้วยเหตุนี้การอธิบายหรือคาดการณ์พฤติกรรมการเดินทางให้เที่ยงตรงมากขึ้น จึงต้องการการวิเคราะห์ที่ลดเงื่อนไขของวิธีการทางสถิติแบบเดิมและสามารถหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรได้พร้อมกันครั้งละหลายตัวแปร แนวทางหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจได้แก่ การวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธีสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางวิเคราะห์ด้วย SEM และการประยุกต์ใช้ในงานด้านการขนส่งและการจราจร และข้อได้เปรียบของวิธีดังกล่าว บทความนี้อาจทำให้เกิดมุมมองใหม่ในการศึกษาพฤติกรรมการเดินทาง ตลอดจนใช้เป็นข้อมูลอ้างอิงสำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมต่อไป |

One of the major causes of mistakes in investigating travelers' behaviors by using traditional statistical methods, descriptive statistical techniques or multivarite analysis, is human behavioral variation causing by various factors. Therefore, in order to increase the accuracy, the technique that more relax the statistical constrains and can explain the correlations among many travel factors simultaneously is desired. One of the significant alternatives is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. SEM is rapidly employed by transport research around the world and reported one of the most efficient methods for revealing travelers' behaviors effectively. The purposes of this paper are to introduce this technique to transport researchs in Thailand, applying the technique for travel behavior researches and the advantages of this technique. This paper will open an alternative viewpoint for studying travelers' behaviors and being a reference for more extend in transport researches. |
