จากการนำปลากระพงขาว (Lates calcalifer) ที่ป่วยเป็นโรคและใกล้ตายมาตรวจหาชนิดของแบคทีเรียที่เข้าทำลายหรือทำให้เกิดการติดเชื้อ จำนวน 39 ตัวอย่าง โดยสำรวจจากฟาร์มเลี้ยงในจังหวัดระยอง ชลบุรีและฉะเชิงเทรา รวมทั้งจากสถานเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำเค็มของสถาบันวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเล แยกเชื้อจากเนื้อเยื่อตับ ไตและหัวใจ ตลอดจนบริเวณบาดแผล พบเชื้อแบคทีเรียที่ทำให้เกิดโรคและอาการป่วยของปลารวมทั้งหมดอย่างน้อย 8 สกุลจากเชื้อที่แยกทั้งหมดจำนวน 182 ไอโซเลต (isolates) ได้แก่ Vibrio alginoluticus, V.anguillarum, V.campbellii, V.cholerae, V.fluvialis l&ll, V.harveyi, V.metschnikovii, V.splendidus, V.vulnificus, Aeromonas sp., Hafnia sp., Haemophilus sp., Streptococcus sp., Edwardsiella sp., Pseudomonas sp., Plesiomonas sp., และ unidentified species โดยส่วนใหญ่พบว่าปลากระพงขาวที่ป่วยและตายในที่สุดนั้น มักมีสาเหตุจากการติดเชื้อแบคทีเรียหนึ่งชนิดหรือสองสามชนิดขึ้นไป |

Infectious and moribund seabass (Lates calcalifer) from various farms in Chonburi, Rayong and Chacheung-sao including in marine aquarium of Burapha Institute of Marine Science were examine for pathogenic bacteria causing ailments. From 39 samples of the fish, 182 isolates of bacteria were isolated from liver, kidney and heart tissues including infectious lesions. At least 8 genera of bacteria were found involve with the fish ailments: Vibrio alginoluticus, V.anguillarum, V.campbellii, V.cholerae, V.fluvialis l&ll, V.harveyi, V.metschnikovii, V.splendidus, V.vulnificus, Aeromonas sp., Hafnia sp., Haemophilus sp., Streptococcus sp., Edwardsiella sp., Pseudomonas sp., Plesiomonas sp. and unidentified species. Most of the infectious fish had been affected by multiinfection of one or a few species of pathogenic bacteria before they gradually died in final. |
